Working in Ottawa today --Stickin' it to the man!

Good morning folks,

I will be working in Ottawa today.

I was going to rant today that I heard Buffalo Springfield's 1967 or '68 For What It's Worth on a TV commercial.  Even if you are thinking to your self, "nope, don't know that tune", you'd be wrong.  You have heard it.

There's something happening here,
What it is ain't exactly clear,
There's a man with a gun over there,
Telling me, I've got to beware;

Think it's time we stop -children what's that sound,
Everyone look what's goin' down,
There's battle lines being drawn,
Nobody's right, if everybody's wrong,

Young people speakin' their minds,
Getting so much resistance far behind,
It's time we stopped -children what's that sound....

You get the idea.  So what the hell is a Vietnam era protest song doing on some corporate advertisement?

Then I thought I would rant a bit about the Free Speech Movement, I would toss in a bit of Jerry Rubin, Abbie Hoffman, Weinberg and Dylan, hell, it was one of them that said, " Don't trust anyone over 30.".

But then I realized I am over 30, drive an SUV or two, worry about property values, supple side economics, corporate profits..

Aw crap, we've become "them".

Have a good day, hum an old tune.
